Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Quaker® Instant Oats
  • 3/4 cup milk or water
  • 1 Tablespoon blueberry jelly
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped walnuts or almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • handful of fresh blueberries

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, nuts, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Combine the oats and milk or water in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir, then cook over high heat for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes until most of the liquid is absorbed and oats are cooked. Stir in the blueberry jelly.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the top of the oatmeal then return the bowl to the microwave and cook over high heat for 30-45 more seconds. The brown sugar will caramelize into the top of the oatmeal.
  • Splash with another tablespoon of milk if desired then sprinkle with fresh blueberries. Enjoy!
