Ingredients

  • 16 oz prepared store bought sugar cookie dough
  • 16 oz prepared store bought vanilla frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 8-10 mini candy canes
  • 8-10 soft peppermint candies

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit  and spray a 12-inch pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread the cookie dough onto the prepared pan, leaving about half an inch around the edge. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the dough turns golden brown.  Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before frosting.
  • Stir the peppermint extract into the frosting, then spread the frosting evenly on the top of the cookie pizza.
  • Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on the outer edge. Arrange the mini candy canes and soft peppermints on top of the crushed candy canes.  Slice and serve.

Notes

  • Making in advance: This can be made ahead of time, just leave off the peppermint toppings until right before you serve it. You can keep the frosted cookie pizza on the counter for up to three days in an airtight container.
  • How to store: Store your peppermint cookie pizza in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
