This Caramel Apple Milkshake is the perfect treat as we head into fall! Creamy, delicious, and swirled with cinnamon, it’s like sticking a straw into a caramel apple and slurping up all those yummy fall flavors!

The other day I got this crazy craving for a caramel apple. I haven’t had one in ages. I think the last time I had one was around Halloween a few years ago, and I’m pretty sure it was coated in chocolate chips, too. Wow, that sounds insanely good now that I think of it!

I started doing that thing where you open the fridge, and open the freezer, stare around, trying to find something to eat, even though you already know there’s not really anything in there you want. Well, after opening my freezer again for the second time, I noticed the vanilla ice cream just sitting there, looking delicious. Hmmm, I thought. Maybe I should make a milkshake. My son would absolutely LOVE that! So then I opened up the fridge again and spotted some apple juice. Now my wheels were really turning. Okay, okay, I thought. I’m going to see what I can do about this caramel apple craving after all!

I pulled out some caramel syrup, and then decided some cinnamon would really make those flavors pop. I played around with the amounts until I got the perfect, slurpable, caramel apple-tasting, milkshake ever! Oh y’all, this is some good stuff!

Top it off with some whipped cream and you’ve got a little taste of fall at the end of your straw. I love it for right now when it’s still kind of warm out, but you’re feeling ready for that cooler fall weather. I like to think of it as a summer/fall transitional treat. But, by golly, I’ll probably still be drinking this little gem when Easter rolls around. 😉

Great idea! I am already imagining the flavour and cannot wait to pick up some ice cream and really try it out. I never would have though to grab apple JUICE but that really makes the most sense after reading.

Yes, the apple juice seems a little surprising at first, but it really works out perfectly! It gives that delicious apple flavor to the shake while helping to smooth it out and give the right consistency, too. I hope you enjoy it, girl!
