These Italian Sliders are so delicious and easy to make! They’re loaded with salami, pepperoni, turkey, and melty cheese, then coated with an Italian butter sauce before baking. Finally they’re stuffed with a creamy, tangy chopped salad for the perfect finishing touch. This is one of my favorite easy weeknight dinner recipes, and it’s also the perfect appetizer for game day!

I have a real obsession with these Italian Sliders.
They are absolutely delicious and incredibly addictive. I promise you will not be able to stop with just one!
This recipe takes everything you love about a hot Italian sub and stuffs it between Hawaiian rolls for the most amazing little sandwich you’ve ever had. Well, aside from my Turkey Cranberry Sliders. Those are such a treat for using up leftover Thanksgiving turkey and you must try those, too!

I really love these Italian Sliders for an easy dinner during the week. I usually serve them with some chips and Italian Pasta Salad on the side, and my kids are big fans.
They’re also a big hit for get-togethers like Super Bowl parties, tailgates, barbecues, and holiday parties. I love a grab-and-go appetizer, and these are perfect for filling your plate while you’re mingling or watching the game!
Ingredients for Italian Sliders

- Hawaiian rolls – you will need a package of 12 Hawaiian rolls. You don’t need to separate them; keep them all together and then slice them horizontally. I highly recommend King’s Hawaiian brand. I have tried other brands and they are just not as good.
- Italian deli meats – I like to use a combination of deli sliced salami, pepperoni, and turkey.
- Cheese – you can use your favorite cheese, but I personally love provolone cheese for the sliders. You will also need grated parmesan cheese for the butter sauce.
- Butter – you will need half a stick of unsalted butter for the delicious sauce that goes on top of the Italian sliders.
- Spices – a combination of Italian seasoning, garlic power, onion powder, and salt is used for seasoning the butter sauce
- Shredded lettuce – the base for the tangy, salad mixture that finishes off the sliders.
- Sliced banana peppers and red onion – add a nice savory, tangy crunch to the lettuce mixture.
- Mayonnaise and Italian dressing – are combined to make a delicious, creamy dressing for the salad.

How to Make this Easy Italian Sliders Recipe – Step by Step

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Without separating them, cut the entire slab of rolls in half lengthwise using a serrated knife. Place the bottom layer onto a greased sheet pan.
Steps 2-5: Layer the salami, provolone cheese, turkey, and pepperoni on the bottom half of the rolls.

Step 6: Place the top back on the rolls.
Step 7: In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
Step 8: Brush the butter mixture over the top of the sliders.

Step 9: Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 3-5 more minutes, uncovered, until the tops of the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Step 10: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the iceberg lettuce, banana peppers, red onions, mayonnaise, and Italian dressing.
Step 11: Slice the sliders into individual sandwiches
Step 12: Remove the top buns and spoon the lettuce mixture onto the sandwiches (I recommend only adding the salad mixture to the ones you are going to eat right away.) Place the top of the buns back on.

Tips and Notes
- Switch up the meats. This Italian Sliders recipe also works perfectly with ham or other Italian meats like cappacuolo or prosciuttini. Feel free to swap with whatever you like best.
- Let the sliders rest before and after baking. I like to give my Italian sandwich sliders some time to rest and soak up the butter sauce before baking. If you can allow about 15 minutes or more of resting time, it really helps the flavor to set! I also like to let them rest for a few minutes when they come out of the oven before slicing.
- Making in advance: you can prepare the sliders in advance and store in the fridge until you’re ready to bake, up to 1 day in advance. I recommend waiting to make the salad mixture until right before you serve it, otherwise it can get overly soggy.
- Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container or in a dish covered with plastic wrap in the fridge for up to three days. I recommend storing the salad mixture separately from the slider sandwiches. Moisture in the salad will release as it sits, so it will be soggier the next day. Just something to keep in mind.
