Tender, juicy sweet corn is one of my favorite summer dishes, and this Air Fryer Corn on the Cob is just how I like to make it.

I’ve talked many times before about how much I adore my air fryer. It is one of my most used kitchen appliances and has easily become my favorite way to cook veggies. For example, my Air Fryer Broccoli and Air Fryer Zucchini are recipes that I make on a regular basis.

And now that the weather is getting warmer and the summer months are just around the corner, I love cooking corn in the air fryer. The tender kernels of corn come out crisp and juicy, with a nice little char just like you would get from preparing it on the grill.

And while I do love grilled corn on the cob, I truly believe that making it in the air fryer is the one of the easiest ways (and the quickest) to prepare it. No aluminum foil or firing up the grill required, and the corn cooks evenly on all sides every time. Give it a try and I bet you’ll love it, too!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

  • Whole ears of fresh corn: I like to use fresh sweet corn for this recipe. You will need to remove the green husks and silk from the corn cobs before air frying.
  • Melted Butter: Is used for coating your ears of corn before air frying. I like to use unsalted butter.
  • Spices: A mixture of salt and black pepper is used for seasoning the corn.

How to Make Corn on the Cob in the Air Fryer – Step by Step

Ears of corn in an air fryer basket.

Heat air fryer to 370 degrees. Brush the shucked and cleaned ears of corn liberally with the melted butter on all sides. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray and add the buttered corn in a single layer.

Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning the corn halfway through the cooking time. Season with salt and black pepper and pats of more butter to serve.

    Tips and Notes

    • Change up the spices: I kept the base for this air fryer corn on the cob recipe pretty simple, but feel free to add some additional spices like chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, or cayenne pepper for a little heat.
    • Add some different toppings: If you’d like to turn your corn on the cob into mexican street corn, sprinkle your corn with some of the spices I mentioned above. I also LOVE Trader Joe’s Mexican Street Corn seasoning and usually sprinkle some of that on my corn. Next, add some mexican crema or sour cream, a sprinkle of cotija cheese, and a squeeze of lime juice to your cooked corn to finish it off.
    • Store any leftover corn in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
